Halfway to dead

About This Project

As I approach my 45th birthday, I jokingly laid out for myself the project of documenting what it feels like to be halfway to dead. I say this with all the zestful freedom and all the terror this nihilistic turning point can offer. I have always been a person who finds a taunting thrill in the liberation of endings. And I have been known to take this artistic trope too far.

I asked my brilliant teacher and friend Julie Harris Chatham to document what it feels like to be me at this moment, and to do that through my exploration of the four elements.
